Drainage works on part of the PSE
playing field near the MUGA
Essential drainage
works will take place on the part of the playing field above (N of) the MUGA,
starting on January 6th – weather permitting. The work will take approximately 2
weeks. The drains are being installed to
prevent the flooding of the MUGA pitch which has become frequent in recent years.
That part of
the playing field where the fruit trees are planted will be barriered off
because drains will be dug and equipment will be located there. Access through the kissing gate at the top of
the playing field will be maintained with a narrow path left around the
barriers.
Care will be
taken to avoid damage to the football pitch and the fruit trees, and to
minimise impact on the playing field surface.
